Day 2

We decided to walk out that morning from our hotel to the main roads to get our breakfast. I vividly remembered the way as Citin Pratunam was quite near Baiyoke Boutique Hotel (which we stayed on the last visit). We walked through Petchburi Soi 21 and scouted lots of good buys and street foods. We didn’t settle for road side stalls till later at night because we had something else in our minds. We wanted A&W!

They had lunch meals in the morning too. Craving for curly fries, I ordered the fried chicken. It was so juicy and tender. Ooh, so nice!

We set off from here to the Erawan Shrine. The girls did their praying then we more shopping! From the Erawan Shrine, we walked all the way to MBK.

My beloved Iverina and me, we were waiting for the girls to finish up with their prayers.

Look who I bumped into! Tay Hui Pin! A secondary school friend. =D

We took this photograph right outside the Police Headquarters of Bangkok. Mad dangerous. There could’ve been a bomb and went off right where we were.

Side news, 3 unexploded bombs were found that day. Fortunately, they were not found near where we stayed, shopped or roamed. It was very scary that we were not so far away from danger.

Having walked so much on the first day, I rested, sat and ate around more than before. That was a ribbon biscuit pastry. I saw this bright and cheery looking place that promised great icy milkshakes and in we (Baba, Shawn, Rykiel and I) went. Turnout was not too bad, it was air-conditioned and we saw this guy giving tuition to some girl. The thoughts came to our heads were that the teacher must be a perverted one. His eyes did not seem to leave the girl’s chest! Didn’t manage to get a photo of them though. We stared at them majorly throughout the time we were there, but the both of them were so engrossed. One at her homework and the other? The bosom.

This place signified air-con and proper food. Meal. Foooood! Got food court! I can get my rice. Without rice, I can die. Some more walk so much. Die even earlier.

I went straight to the food court, pulling Baba and Rykiel with me. Haha! I was so gonna make they gained some weight, with me! Yes, I am evil one.

From the Erawan Shrine to MBK, we went past Siam Square and Siam something else. All the Siam, Siam ones. There were the usual road side food stalls, there was someone selling rabbits too. I saw this GTR35 parked right in one of the lanes. Mercedes aside, I think that was the most expensive car I saw over there.

In MBK, after taking our meals, I went to locate the manicure stalls while the girls dashed to Naraya. How dare you say having visited Bangkok without some cheap and good manicure service? At first, I thought the manicure stalls were gone because I was on the wrong level. Having found the manicure place, I spent at least a good 3 hours there. I had my hair extension done and painted my nails candy rainbow.

Since I would be there for quite some time, the girls went off again leaving their shopping buys with me and a few other girls who didn’t go shopping again. Our feet were super tired by the second night, everyone was in need of a good leg massage. However, no! We had planned to go clubbing after dumping everything back in our hotel rooms and homely dinner.

We bought food from the stalls just outside the hotel and we had quite a feast. The Tom Yum Gong was the best I ever had. I seriously do not think I had drunk any Tom Yum Gong as good as that. We bought omelettes, fried rice, porridge, bee hoon soup, corn and fruits, and all the dishes were super nice!!

Soonest clearing up after the dinner, we began to prepare for clubbing.

Sadly, we had no idea if it was a blessing in disguise that most likely none of us would be able to dance the night away, the whole stretch of clubbing venues at Thonglor Soi 20 had to close up just minutes before we reached. It was drizzling badly, most of us had abused our new heels in the rain only to realize the place we wanted to have fun in had to close up. We were sitting around wondering what to do or skip to another club, this guy beside me turned around and told me that the whole stretch was closed due to an announcement by the Chief of Police. He recommended us to go over to Slim at RCA, but it was already past midnight. Clubbing scenes in Bangkok all closes at 2am. It was chaotic, heaps and herds of people are trying to get a cab out of that place and we just reached. How unlucky was that? When asked how that guy knew what was going on, he briefly mentioned he owned Club Demo and Slim. I was like, woot? He decorated that club and Slim, some pubs and clubs in Singapore too. His name was ‘Art’. Um… Ok.

He urged us to try going over to Slim, he even gave his table of liquor to us. There were 2 bottles of Johnnie Walkers on the table. He asked us to finish all those drinks and he was going over to Slim RCA too. He said he was going to book a table of 8 for us. Like, wtf?

By the time we got cabs, we hadn’t got the strength to club anymore. We went back straight to the hotel and ordered Mcdonalds Delivery. *evil smile* Hehehe my plan to get everyone fat was succeeding. Hahaah!

And… that was day 2.

Bangkok 090910 – 130910

Day 1

It is so amazing, that the last post was the booking of the trip to Bangkok and this update is about the trip itself. Actually, amazing shouldn’t be e word. Lazy seemed more like it. Bleh!

The trip with the girls was not the first time to Bangkok for me, but within the group, we have 2 Bangkok Virgins. Alright, that did not sound very right, still.. Seriously! How can there be any Singaporean not been to Bangkok before!

Aiya, there’ll always be a first time.

All checked in! We took a long, long time to choose our hotel. It was till the week before the flight that the hotel was confirmed. Citin Pratunam was a new hotel, it was clean and came with a tuk-tuk service to the Platinium Mall. The most fabulous thing about this hotel is that, they gave us free Sim cards! Each and every one of us, there were 8 of us!

All ready for shopping!

We started shopping at 2.30pm, after our first meal at the Platinium Mall. When the ladies gathered round at 6.30pm, this is how much they have bought from just one mall. In the first 6 hours upon stepping into Bangkok City!

Most of the smaller bags were squeezed into the bigger ones, soon they began to look so bulky. Mind you, some of the plastic bags were so heavy we contemplated buying a pull trolley. Towards the end,when I could walk no more, I became the “Guardian of the shopping bags”. I just sat down somewhere and waited for the rest of the gang to be done before walking back. That was a bad, bad move – the guardian thing. They came back with more loot! *faints*

We were supposed to be back in the hotel rooms by 7.30pm cuz Rykiel had arranged dinner for us at 8pm. We didnt manage to leave the mall till 7.45pm. >__<

The best we could do once we got back at our rooms, was to take a piss and ran down to the lobby immediately after.

Look at that! Can you spot something familiar in that picture? They were selling Singapore’s Pink I/Cs along the streets! Rykiel and I were thinking if we should just make one over there, since both of us are identity card-less, but the guy standing behind this board started to shoo us away when he saw us taking out our cameras. Lucky me got 1 shot.

Rykiel’s friend Christina Emma, who’s half Thai, brought us to this live band place, 999 West. They had everything under one roof, by that I meant food. They had Thai food, Chinese dishes and Western set meals. Shawn, Baba’s boyfriend who was with us, called it fusion.

We had great fun, every girl had 2 drinks cuz they were having some 1-for-1 hour thing. Rykiel totally trashed Kat at pool, then again, Kat knew nuts about playing table balls. Foosball was the best. We began to tire by 12 midnight, but Emma wanted us to go somewhere else to see some “Sperm” thingy. Most of us didn’t want to, but she was really persistent. That led us to start thinking if she was drunk. Rykiel and Baba was most accommodating and followed her, the rest of us went back to the hotel and snoozed.

3rd Day of Work

Working for my Mother-In-Law is luxury. Good food is guaranteed. The down side is, the irregular reporting times. She doesn't like to wait, I don't really wanna be late. But you can't have your boss waking you up every morning! No more late nights, I almost fell asleep in her car the first day because I slept so late the night before. I yawned and yawned. Utter rudeness.

All the schools have gone to the Zoo this morning, so I am here in the centre at Jalan Pari Burong. I am supposed to do pick up calls as there is not a single soul here. I’m the ‘recep’ for the day. Been here since the morning, I’m lucky to have brought my laptop. Boredom is no fun.

So I started blogging. *big smile*

My poor baby can’t join her friends at the zoo. She is having fever and diarrhea for the past 2 days. She would be in awe and have so much fun seeing the many, different animals. She loves giraffes, because her class is the Giraffe Class. I bought her this yellow Giraffe shirt she chose herself. She just wouldn’t take it off! She drips on it, pukes on it and sleeps in it. Well, not after the vomit please. That’s how much she loves giraffes.

Had I know that there are no children at Pari Burong, I would have brought her over. It is so boring at home with just the maid and the daddy.

Back on track, there are no calls, at all.

Then I went online, I started reading other peoples’ blogs.

My goodness, I so regret reading Xiaxue’s blog talking about her nose. Argh!

It’s so scary, I can feel the pain just looking at the pictures. She took the pictures of all her stitches. I was holding onto my nose even while just looking at them. Arghhhh.

How, now?

I’ve always wanted to do something about my nose. And I have been talking about it since forever. I’ve hated my nose since like, I was 5? I’ve always thought my nose is fugly. It’s so flat its almost nonexistent.

Since I have been wearing spectacles when I was in Primary 1, no glasses can stay on my nose bridge. As a matter of fact, I don’t even have a bridge.

Now that I’ve lost some weight after giving birth to Ezekell, my face is a little sharper. With the smaller cheeks, my nose only seems to be a little higher.

Haha! I have so much to talk about today!

From the last entry that Bangkok trip is booked, Batam trip is booked too! I will be bringing a group of teachers to Batam for company retreat in July. This is not the first time they are going on an overseas trip, but Batam was suggested for the teachers wanted something short and relaxing. So it would be massage and seafood. Fulfilling.

This Saturday, Shuxian is inviting us to stay over at Park Royal Scotts. They will be going for the spa and facial. I can’t join them for the spa, but I shall join them for the bitching and dinner. I will be bringing Ezekell, hopefully.

I dare not contact Liling because I’ve practically stood her up on 2 consecutive occasions, within a period of 14 days. Having Atwell sold off his car, it’s really a hassle to travel. Especially from the east to the exact north of Singapore. Very far, lah. I will be lazy to take the trains or the buses, the cabs are too expensive. Dah! Excuses, excuses.

Sorry, ling. Don’t be angry, kies?? You’re the best Yee yee around. =D

Sadly, I realized that I can’t be as much of friend more than my friends are to me. I feel sad for that. They’re always around when I need them, but I am not. I’m very much guilty for that. Thank God for this bunch of giggly people. They make my day all the time.

A friend once said this to another friend, ‘Stop apologizing, and start delivering.’ Different group though.

I should stop being lazy and get in touch with the world, than out of it.

Bangkok Trip Confirmed!

Super, duper happy!

Because the trip to Bangkok is confirmed and booked!

Green light was given by the husband after I told him I was so sad that I couldn’t join the girls in Perth. Now guess what?

8 girls are going to Bangkok together!

8 giggly, happy girls. Can you imagine? Oh my gosh!

It will be so much, so much fun!!

I feel like a 16 year old again.

I so missed the Batam trip with them, alas it ended so fast. It was only a one night thingy.

For the Perth trip, Atwell reckoned that he will miss me so much, so he didn’t let me go. Upon seeing me so sad looking through their pictures every time, he didn’t reject me this time. He is such a great husband!

Haha (Forget about the last post. It was a random rant.)

I’m so going to find more castings and jobs. I will work for my mother-in-law. I shall save up a lot of money for my own shopping. Yes, yes, yes!

ELFA Open House 2010

Back from the nervous and hectic weekend.

We just had our ELFA Open House last Saturday, well, not ours, my MIL’s. (Mother-in-law)

Hectic is totally understand, but why nervous?

Because the MP, Jessica Tan Soon Neo of East Coast GRC was told of the Open House, she would be gracing the event!

That’s when the MIL got the jitters.

A lot of people and teachers asked me, “Why ah?”

“What, why?”

“How come your MIL still gets so nervous and scared all the time, even though she has already seen and been so much?”

As a matter of fact, being in this line for almost 10 years (yup, yup. This year is the 10th year Anniversary. She wants another newsletter.) She has given speeches, parent talks, stood in front of thousands, she still gets the jitters. She’s even been an advisor to “don’t know which” MP, but still gets jitters.

She has the confidence, but is just not the performing, show off type. Haha. Cute la, she.

Anyways, the Jessica Tan was a really jovial and smiley person. She is totally camera-ready. Her big smile is on her face ALL the time. In her speech, she was proud of my MIL.

Out of the 500, these are only ones that I truly think they're viewable. The rest are shitty, kind of. I hope Stan doesn't read this page.

I did a shoot for Stan (Serene Tan) on the 29th of May, I was supposed to pass the CD to her 2 weeks back. I haven't been going back to woodlands, however. Looking through the pictures once again, I've decided to stack them together into an animation.

Man, these people are fun! They are call Gamma:Rays, search-able in one word on Facebook. WEll I think people will be lazy to search, so I've provided a click-able link. So, CLICK ME!!. They play the gamelan.

These people are very creative though, they infused it with modern music. The music is not boring at all, just in case you think it was. Almost, in fact all, (if I remember correctly) were composed by the musicians themselves. No copying of other people, very original, very creative.

Thinking back, I had alot of fun. If only that bugger on contract didn't decide to take away my wallet. Alas.

Emo post. This is a very bad post, click x now.

As everyone can see, the last post had been a huge hint to my husband. However, I guess he doesn’t read my blog (which I thought he does), well, no huge disappointment.

He hasn’t been in his bestest mood of late, things are not going his way. He sulks everyday and his life routine is upside down. Erm, no complains since I get to use my computer back in the day. There’re days too that I change my timing now and then.

Life is going back on track, we’ve become the boring couple who stares at each other every day. The conversations each day don’t amount to more than 10 sentences.

“What do you want to eat?”

“I go and buy.”

“Order lah.”

“Goodnight.”

There’ll be good days that we sit down at our balcony and drink. He talked, most of the time I will be listening. I end up keeping everything inside, I suppress bad feelings because I don’t want quarrel. I read somewhere later that, when you suppress bad feelings, you suppress good feelings too. I realize I cannot be the happy person in front of him anymore.

Well, I guess it is exactly the same situation with him too. I haven’t seen him really smile in a very long time.

“You want me to go out and find someone, and then you will treat me well, right?”

I have never thought of that before. I am happy that both of us want to be committed now. After a while, I realized that he cannot be happy when he doesn’t have someone else outside, or split his heart. He cannot stop turning heads at other girls.

I don’t know, but there was this theory that when a person says something, it is actually what he/she wants/wishes for deep down inside.

He always says it is because of me. Because I don’t give him this, because I don’t give him that. I feel so inadequate in his eyes. I can never compare to the girl he just lay his eyes upon.

If you’re not happy, why must you sadden the whole world with you? Rather, must you pile everyone’s heart with guilt? Lastly, why must you make everyone give in to you all the time?

As a result, I end up only want to be there and be a vase instead of being a wife. I am now doing things for the sake of doing them. It is the same for him too.

True enough, I miss the beginning.

The days we go cycling, the days we do nothing the whole day just staring at each other smiling silly. The moments totally freeze time. The feeling where we'll just want to look for each other the moment we wake up.

I so envy the couples who still hold hands when their kids are 20 years old, who still smile lovingly and giggle at each others' jokes or funny faces.

I used to see rainbows and happiness in his eyes. I look at his eyes now, I don't even see see the slightest of grey.

He don't want to spend his time with me at all. Despite all the time he has now. If he were to have anything to start off, he would have less time for me.

Am I so difficult to be with? Or, am I just his business partner?

When he talks to me, I will turn down the volume, turn to him, hear him and look at him. When I say something, he doesn't even bother.

It’s always very frustrating that when you just need a listening ear, your partner thinks that you’re spearing him with words. Sometimes I just want to get stuff off my chest, I just want to rant. Men don’t understand that though there are times that they can help, help is already there. They find us talking about useless subjects when issues had already passed. They don’t understand that the frustration is just there. We just needed a special listening ear, not anyone’s but his. Because he is special.

When I was talking to him, the issue might had already passed, but the frustration is still in the heart, I just need to let it off the chest. He doesn’t understand, he self defended, then we fight. Feeling that good communication is bull shit, I feel like a dumb fucked up.

Sigh..

I found something. I hope he’d read it. Even if he doesn’t, it’s been 3 years already. I guess I might get used to it.

Here goes..

Although the “tit for tat” approach may sometimes work between men and Mafia members, it never works between men and women – to men’s astonishment.

When a man “ambushes” his partner his ultimate purpose is to not feel blamed. If he senses his partner is painting him negatively, he tends to do the same for her. Misguidedly, he is attempting to maintain the image that he is still worthy of her love. He is trying to tell her, “Ok, if you had to put up with me that way, I also have to put up with you this way. Since we both suffered equally, let’s call it even.”

Let’s put it this way, if we were business partners and you came to me to complain that you had lost ten thousand dollars and that I was making more money, I would automatically responded by saying I had also lost ten thousand dollars, then we would be even. Both of us would be happy, and all would feel fair.

When women complain, men similarly want to even the score. In some cases, a man will even try to beat his partner at her own game. To him this is like saying “I understand that you lost ten thousand dollars, well me too. In addition, I lost another five thousand. I’m such a great that I am still willing to call it even.” Not only does he match her complaints, he ups the ante.

On the other hand, if a woman listens quietly to a man’s list of complaints, he will not be pleased. He wants her to either apologize or do something about his beefs. When a woman shares her list, even though to him it sounds like she is demanding change, she really just needs to be heard.

Like many men, I felt that it was only fair that if my wife complaint I had a right to complain back. In one day, however, with the right understanding, my pattern permanently changed.

Bonnie had been upset about various things and asked me to listen. Trying to duck and dodge, I listened attentively for about fifteen minutes. I was bruised many times yet was able to contain myself, but for the wrong reasons.

I was telling my inner self – Don’t say anything, just listen, soon you will have your turn.

On the surface, I was doing everything right, I listen without arguing or interrupting. I even asked an occasional question to draw her out more. I kept my gut reactions to myself.

For Bonnie’s every complaint, I privately had a counter complaint. For her every upset feeling, I had an explanation for why she didn’t need to get so upset. For her every emotional expression like “I always” or “You never”, I had a correction. But I didn’t let them out.

I could hold it all in because I kept telling myself that I would soon have my turn to correct her feelings and “let her know the truth”.

When she finished, I asked, “Is there anything else you want to say?”

“No, that’s it,” she said.

Making sure everything by the book, I told her, “Now I understand why you are upset. You have a right to be upset. I also have a lot of feelings, would this be a good time to talk about them?”

Taking me completely by surprise, she answered. “Well, since you asked, this isn’t a good time.”

“How dare she not listened to my feelings!” I fumed to myself, “I listened to hers.”

“Why is this not a good time for you?” I was thoroughly prepared to argue the validity of my point of view.

I will always remember her response. She said, “All I can tell you is that if you were to tell me your feelings right now, I would feel like you just taken away this wonderful gift that you gave me. Instead of listening to your feelings, I would rather bask in the feeling of being heard. I care about your feelings, but I would rather hear them later.”

Her response totally took my off guard. She wanted to bask!!?? In the sunshine of my love? I didn’t feel very loving. And the part about taking back a gift? I didn’t feel like I have given her a gift.

Although much of my frustration lessened, I still intended to share my feelings in response.

I said to her, “When would be a good time to talk about my feelings?”

“Tomorrow.” She proposed.

“Agreed.”

During the next fifteen minutes, as I reflected on this unique conversation, I noticed that my wife was humming a happy song. She really was basking in the sunshine of my love. She was feeling very supported.

Brrr.. I’m looking through many, many links from Google. All the links from the search bar have turned purple, no matter what words I use.

I’m looking for an auditorium in Singapore for the ELFA’s Year End Graduation Concert.

Ok I’m beginning to realize that my posts involve the ELFA more and more. By the way, I’m working on the brochure. The layout is out. Yayness!

Arh.. I didn’t know looking for an auditorium in Singapore can be so unnerving. I need one that can accommodate about 500 persons and it is to be the east/central area of Singapore. Most importantly, cheap! Ok la, not cheap, but affordable. I have too much criteria to fit of, I think the person in charge may want to rip my head off.

I wonder why the number is not rounded. Anyways, the hall looks good, but the building is old! I’m beginning to worry about the end time. It’s jam time! Tsk. Like that how can?! Ecstatically built for the eyes, the price is eye widening too. It’s $8000 for 4 hours for non-ticketed events. Bahhh… I’m still hoping that they would charge us under general events.

This is a rant, and a big fat one.

I really do not understand why Atwell’s family is so against the medicines and antibiotics. They do not like baby seeing the doctor or taking any medications. The husband says to let her immunity fight on her own.

He does not understand that with her limited years in life, she DOES NOT have that much immunity cells in her system. Or, does she have fought enough illness wars in her life to fight the so many million kinds of viruses on this Earth. So, she is DEFINTELY not equipped to fight all the illness in the world, or even those that are before her now. Especially that she is in the day care, she is faced with even MORE viruses.

Side note, I’m very glad that she is quite resistant to the Hand, Foot and Mouth Disease now.

If I brought her to the doctor earlier, I would have known she is wheezing badly. That she is having mild asthmatic conditions, which will definately lead to bronchitis or asthma. I know sometimes we thought we’ve learned along the way and that we thought what is going on in her little body. But NO!

If she is 3 years old, she will be labeled as having asthma. WTF.

You would have been doctors, if you knew.

My poor girl, getting frightened and scared by herself because of all the gagging and puking. She does not know why she’s not feeling well or why that she’s having a headache.

This happed on the 19th of May, 2010.

Yes, I know I should have blogged earlier.

I received a call in the afternoon and, “Hello?” The person on the other line said, “Dinner?”

Yay! We’re going to the Grand Waterfront Copthorne for dinner. The caller was Joey Chian. I was with Yingying Cai at the point of that time, he came to fetch us and baby before we headed for salmon and oyster buffet.

The little girl was not very friendly that day, so I had to bring her around to cheer her up. Soon I ended up taking her photographs. 3 days later, she’s running a temperature. I should have known that she’s not feeling well already. What a great mother I am. Tsk.

Don’t ask me about her dressing. I tried to take either one piece off, it was not allowed by the wearer. Tsk!

All the pictures doesn’t depict all the food that was available, I only took the colder dishes. I cannot afford having steam condense on my camera.

It’s kind of irritating that blogger do not have a pictures uploader. The maximum number of photos up-loadable at a time is only 5. So stingy.

Baby and I went to Sentosa Universal Studios yesterday with my parents, Kaiwei and Stan, the husband-cum-daddy didn’t want to go. We didn’t go into the theme park, nor did we go into the casino, my dad found it too expensive; especially when both my dad and mum don’t take the rides and we don’t gamble. Boring family, haha. Its whopping $66 per person , but you get to sit on all the rides. There’s another price for the priority queue, which cost about $80 plus as told by Joey Chian. There was a 2-day tour ticket because you cannot possibly finish all the rides in one day, as confirmed by Joey Chian too - the person who has finally finish walking the whole area and the rides. While we were there, they were still working on the last 2 rides which I cannot remember of. It’s best though to visit on a weekday, I was there yesterday – it was already quite crowded. I cannot imagine the crowd on the weekends, squeezing with both fellow Singaporeans and foreigners.

The new theme park made me feel as though I was not in Singapore. I didn’t going into the theme park, oh how I wish to be inside. Upon reaching the entrance, Stan and my brother became my subject of photos. The main subject was asleep when we reached. Oh, how irritating. It was only almost an hour later then she woke up, and we were leaving the place already. We manage to snap a picture here and there, and then off we go. My father was the type that don’t like to waste time, unless you’re buying, what’s the point of see-see, look-look? Aiya, just go already lah. We didn’t even get to step into the Resorts World Store. *sad*

There’s this huge Hersheys’ store which has the World’s Largest Chocolate Bar; it costs $60, they have the biggest array of assorted Hersheys Kisses ever. They sold everything, they had the pencil cases and shopping bags, they had much different type of Hersheys Syrups, and they even had the kisses plush toys. Adjoined to it with a door opening, there was this popcorn outlet. They had nuts popcorns, cheese popcorns and the usual caramel popcorns. I didn’t know my dad even like popcorns.

The Breadtalk and Toast Box are combined at the basement of the place. Just outside of the Casino. They have cakes and muffins matching the theme of gamble. I only get to take 2 photos and then they stopped me. *boring*

In the end, there was nothing else to see back in Sentosa, so we went ahead to Vivo City. Then Joey Chian created a scene. Shall not talk about the itchy parts of yesterday, it was supposed to be a happy day.

I must go back again!

Happy Mothers' Day Everybody!

The husband and I brought the mother-in-law to Peach Garden (Thomson) to have Dim Sum breakfast. They are really good I would say. Their mustard buns are really, really good. I don’t eat Baos, I decided to give it a try after reading ironlady’s blog. I think it’s a place everyone should try. We hadn’t got time to take pictures of the dishes as we were really hungry, and baby was there. She, sigh... My attention was on her all the while.

I wore this romper bought off Taiwan sprees; this romper gave me a lesson. Rompers aren’t that suitable for people with long torsos. It was kind of an ouch day.

When the evening came, Atwell and I had a quarrel. Irritating story. Don’t want to talk about it.

My auntie bought gold bars! Though just 100g, it’s quite an amazement. Maybe I’m 'sua gu' laa, but I've never seen gold bars before except in movies. 1 gram of gold in Singapore now is about $50? Do the math and you will know how much this cost. She says she's going to keep it and make a profit out of it. Let's see how much she is going to earn.

Baby's cousin. She calls herself Dora, because she adores 'Dora The Explorer'. She makes sure her hair is the same as Dora's. So cute, right? I can't remember her real name already, my grandmother (daddy's side) has so many, many grand children and great-grand children! Baby and her cousin belong to the latter group, she has at least 5 other cousins. My grandma is so blessed.

This is only part of the family. Not everyone was there. This was taken during Chinese New year.

She oftens just sit there and watch us quietly whenever we have a gathering. The living room will be filled and it will be so rowdy and noisy. I like it. I like my family gatherings so much that I will try not to miss any. After marriage, I cannot make their gatherings the priority during Chinese New Year because I have to follow the customs. I have to go to the husband's side first. CNY is almost like the most important festival.

When I reached my mom's place this year, they had already moved on to another place. Last year? I didn't even get to stay long even to warm my chair. Sigh.. Don't wanna talk about it anymore.

Side note, my uncle's (e husband belonging to e aunt who bought the gold bars) worker actually got robbed in JB. Not really surprising to me, because that was not the first time he got robbed in Johor Bahru. His worker was holding SGD$180k, yup you didn't see it wrong, nor did i type it wrong. He was robbed of SGD$180,000 cash. Brrrr, lucky fella didn’t die.

i couldnt take it anymore wearing contact lenses everyday, eze broke my spectacles. no elaboration needed. i had been wearing e lenses for the past week and my cornea couldnt take it any longer. we were introduced to this optical shop in north point by my cousin, she said she knew the optician and we might get some discounts on branded frames.

initally, i was hoping for a gucci reading frame, it would cost about sgd200 if i was to import it from the uk - excluding the shipping. i reckoned it might not be safe too, i havent bought anything so expensive off the net before. so the concern was there.

when we were there, most of the gucci frames were either too big for me, or they were the plastic "ah-ping-gor" frames. i couldnt wear those cuz of my flat nose bridge, so we settled for e christian dior.

absolute love! just couldnt stop taking pictures of it. *happy* *jumps around*

on tuesday, kim brought us round and round serangoon gardens in search of a shop. i was sitting behind and didnt catch what they were talking about, most of the time twittering, facebook'ing and camwhoring.

they gave up after 2 hours of going round and round the place, then e husband suggested having western food in queenstown, the kopitiam right next to the train station. mad squeezy, tiny coffeshop. it was so squeezed up that the person sitting behind me was literally touching e back of my chair. i couldnt walk directly to e table, i had to manoeuver around to get to my table. hubby ordered this chicken chop for me, i was kinda like "um.... are you sure this is good?" when it first came.

seriously, its really not bad. the chicken was marinated before hand so its really tasty. it was done well and not dry at all. really worth a try, but peak hours not suggested.

thereafter they sat down at the smoking corner and ordered a beer. oh my god, so uncle right! cant stand.

someone very sweetly, posted comments on my blog determining i was stirring trouble on car forums. the post was in 2008.

so i went on to read what happened. i only knew beauty forums, i didnt even know there're forums for cars. guys visit forums too! but i guess they arent patient or mature enough to handle matters within it or maybe you're still living in the past. 2008 for goodness sake.

anyways, because of this matter, e husband made me place an police report and just leave it. he thought that someone was impersonating me and let the police do the rest of the job. then again, e police in singapore never gets anything done. so im angry! i wanna scold somebody!

im about to explode cuz it has got nothing to do with me, im being flamed and bombarded on my blog firstly, then my facebook secondly, then my email. they certainly do not have anything else better to do. for your information, despite im a very free tai-tai, i do have things to do. i tweet, i play with my daughter, i facebook, i fly kites, i swim, i play mahjong, i blog, but i dont stir shit.

i tried to convince her that the playground is hot as hell n the early afternoon but she wouldnt believe. so down we went, i brought along the camera with the motive to catch the moments of e infamous crying face if her butt burned on e slide.

in e end i pushed her round and round the neighborhood in search of a "nice" playground, cuz every other one was too hot for her liking - she deemed them "not nice".

dah - in the end, i was the only who exercised. irritating-ly, she had some candy in her fingers earlier, she couldnt stop chewing her nails.

happy birthday to glen. we went to swissotel at stamford for a very dim birthda dinner for it was the earth day. not exactly total darkness, but it was dim enough to miss your food.

immediately after the dinner, little miss naughty fell sick. she reached 40.5 degress on the second night. we were so afraid that it was dengue fever. she kept puking and puking, it was so hard to keep her milk down.

terrible and just horrible. darmol didnt work, panadol lost it effect. cool fever was like cooking fever. i didnt sleep properly for 4 days and now my routine is once again messed up. this situation always deterred us from having another child.

she skipped school for 2 days. by the 3rd day she was alive again, like never sick before!

there were so much words in my mind all day long, when i worked on that maggi mee, before i fell asleep at nights and even when i was eating or even watching the television. whenever i reached this page however, everything fell out of place. the thoughts were gone, my mind was blank and my eyes blinded by the white screen.

looking back (seconds ago), i just woke up from an 15 hours sleep. i've been sleeping so much everyday, every single day. i know people envied to be in my shoes, but would you envy someone who had no goals in life. i shouldn't say nothing, i have a beautiful little girl and the most forgiving husband.

i'm kinda sick from the sleeping and seriously want something of my own for myself. something i would forsake sleep for, something i would jump out of bed for. not sure if i was looking for an excuse for myself, but i find myself waking to nothing. i woke up, i surfed the net, i played with the girl (some days), i go back to sleep. people told me they wished for my lifestyle, some otherwise said i was rotting away. i only knew that im becoming a pack of lazy bones, literally. my goal everyday was to sleep even longer hours.

i really want something of my own.

chris is leaving singapore today. i haven't seen her through the days she was here. some friend i am.

the new year started in the worst way. i could have cursed my relationship with atwell to the deepest of hells and ruined his trust totally in me. i lost my only confidant in the house by hurling at her unnecessarily before even finding out if did so she turn her words at me. the only neutrals in the house saw the most recent battle scars (self defence, though they did not see it that way. my left hand is strengh-less, for your info.) and now deem me as condemned in the house.

i've seriously been sleeping a lot. thanks to the middle ear syndrome and fever, i'm able to hide away from atwell's family. if there was a hole, i would have crawled into it and not come out again forever.

the first incident didn't crush atwell's faith in this marriage. he was determined to put in a lot of effort to make it work again, and he did. though now the fights are scarier, they were about us, our temperaments and anger. not because about another he or she, we're healing faster and better than before.

however, the second incident left me and one of his sisters scarred badly. i used to be really, really happy when she's around. i would ask her how her things were and poured to her mine. i'd try to help her in anything if she had a trouble. i've never got a sister. i couldn't speak to a lot of people in the house. i really did cherished her. i've apologized, but i guess it wasn't enough. she was struck badly and unknowingly by me, with that, it now seems dreadful for her whenever we see each other. the guilt still lingered, but i know she'd think its bull.

just 4 days back before i was in the shower, 2 girls were sitting outside my room. they were chatting, they were sharing, they were giggling. in their voices, i might have heard them blushed when they talked about their beaus. they were there for each other as many would have been for them. i suddenly missed my friends. i wished to have someone to talk to, i wish to have someone to pour sorrows to, i wish for someone to tell me her recent endeavors of anything.

its not about having a long antenna and be in the best of gossips queens. its about having someone to share and support when you need it. yes i have the best husband on earth, though not a very nice one when we quarrel. its about having friends. yet i dont cherish them all the time. ling has been contacting me, christina is back in town and probably gone too.

i really missed them a lot.

we went shopping on our good days, he bought a new burberry bag for me. i was really, really so happy that day. not just because of the bag, but he was giving his day to me. it was the new shimmer check, apparently just launched weeks ago.

as if like a curse, our happiness are often short-lived.

things are like kinda getting from bad to worse, i dont know how to explain. im not having trouble with the transition from day to night life, but it has definitely got its toil.

though some people may say that you'll gain weight through night life, im losing weight, fast - almost to half of what i was. i've lost the time that i wanna spend with my baby, i've lost the time i wanna spend with myself. i've gotten the fever more than twice within this 1 and a half months.

the drinking has caused our attitudes to worsen between the marriage. i've find it hard to contain my anger like before and, gaining respect for him is harder than before.

we tried to rotate then and before, but it didnt seem to help. he totally left me alone to fend for myself when im working. he'd off his phone when he goes to bed. he didnt ask, he didnt care.

im slowly losing my affectionate ways for him. =(

whoa. alot has happened.

so, um i dunno where to start.

jason has become a father, here is his lil china girl.

my lil girl's hair has definately grown longer. hehe, finally.

we're really busy with the stupid pub, which is not actually paying me or sponsering my shoppings, that its so difficult to catch up with anybody - including my baby.

that place actually unleashed the terror and jealousy streak inside me that even atwell got a scare. in the end we have to settle that if he's there, i wont be. so we rotate. things are going better after the first week, the ex owner totaly sucks. leaving us with alot of faulty stuffs to maintain. however, its only time even we use new things.

since the taking over, 2 shoots had been conducted there. i just cant leave photography. i didnt shoot, but i lent my place to a few organisers. all pictures not taken by me tempted to bring my camera but, te other photogs paid for their shoots.

something's wrong with blogger, it isnt loading well with both IE nor firefox.

its yet another complain today. we just had a disagreement yesterday and he's giving me the colds today. i knew i threw a huge tantrum, i did say sorry, but i didnt think i was in the wrong. well nobody does think that way in a fight. despite the well intended actions of great food and fetching me to wherever i want, he's not talking to me, and giving a "what?" look through the day. he's totally punishing me today.

i know that in most families, men are the sole bread winners of the house - likewise for me. he does wear the pants, yet he feels that i rip it off all the time. literally, not the other way. we hadnt been close for very long. he doesnt feel respected, i feel faked when i had to stroke his ego.

or maybe it started from the last post - he wasnt too happy after reading it. there're days i feel really trapped when i cant even speak my mind freely without prejudice and not get judged. things get shut behind the lips, got forgotten next got bottled up in the heart. then grudges kinda just pop up little by little. likewise, he has grown sensitive, im well, a big fan to sensitivity. now we both are, not to feelings but to words, criticism and sacarsm.

the happiest day and memorable this year is, national day. i felt so close to him that day. it has been so long he hugged me and sat so close to me in a long, long while. he made me felt so important and loved just by little gestures. i know its tiring to have some one lean on you for so long, but its so nice. then all the sweet sweet memories start to come back. that half hour hug that evening did do wonders.

i missed the person who was so caring and would stop to hear me, hugs me and says he loves me all the time, and not sleep beside me devoid of concern or sympathy. i dont want anyone to get me wrong, he still hugs me to sleep every night.

or maybe i should just accept that its married life.

for the first time in 2 years, im using my laptop battery to power my lappie. it doesnt seem that bad. however the thoughts of the battery spoiling often haunts me. so im stopping. soon.

people nowadays are weird and/or scary. we had such an eventful day just few days back. on the turn out of our carpark, we saw a lady in turquoise lying on the middle of the traffic light junction. apparently, she's been hit down by a white civic, either that, or it was a hit and run. a motorcyclist ran down to help her, the driver of the civic was out too. she couldnt stand up with their help. it was so scary. luckily, we were going on the opposite direction, what we saw was from afar.

next, when we were on siglap road, there was a lancer right in front of us, travelling towards katong. as we were going down slope, approaching another traffic light junction. i saw red lights, then i saw brake lights. i thought he was going to stop. you know what? he didnt! the cars on the left began to move and there were honks all over. 1 van almost collided into the lancer. they were like only inches away from each other - everyone stopped. then the lancer quickly sped off. he better run for his life.

last! this made my blood boil. we were on some bedok road, there were only 2 lanes on each side. one upper secondary school boy (he was wearing long pants) was walking across the road, he apparently saw us. we made eye contact, yes. we were on the leftest lane. he didnt stop walking! hubby expected him to stop or run, whichever. by the time atwell slammed on the brakes and stopped, he was literally standing at the right corner of the car. he gave us the ultimate shock! he was still giving us a blank stare, then he just strolled off. read - strolled. he didnt even give a damn shit if he was to die. stupid jay walkers who dont care about their lives. our licenses definitely worth so much more than these inconsiderate people. atwell said that he might be too stressed from the school. whatever, pui. the real stres will come if we knocked him down. irritating shit.

dreamworld theme park

this theme park is perfect. they maintain it so well. they've got all the magical moments from the story books to the scariest rides. everywhere is decorated by fresh living flowers. the gardeners were busy maintaining and pruning while we enjoyed the sceneries. the flowers were fascinating.

i love the flowers, they emit slight fragrances wherever you go.

finally got the time to come online. a few of my likes, i do know its kinda a-maturely executed. i still do feel proud of myself, i dont take pictures like all of my time. liyi is great, she is definitely learning very fast, both of us are waiting for our moolaaahs to come in. its always irritating to wait for things you deserve, or rather you were pormised. hate money draggers. although im one too. but.. sigh.

got a message from ling saying that she will be at changi airport doing her rounds. the thoughts of her able to hover in and out of the departure halls freely just make me jealous. think about all the cheap stuffs in the halls. man! *envys*

its somehow so weird that when you type something here (blogs), its supposed to be your deep thoughts, aka a diary writings, in my humble opinion. on the contrary, what people are writing seems to please rather than true deep feelings.

i rarely write about my husband, cuz i have more complains than praises. oh come on, bad things floats better right? thus i refrain totally talking about him, so when something comes out here - it seemed irreversible.

i do know he visits here, even though he denies so. i hate it whenever he has to act so 'man' and says that he doesnt care what i say and what i was doing.

i seriously detest it when he looks at other girls! totally! yea its that jealousy streak in me that i cant curb. it makes me feel that im downright undesirable and unattractive through and through. he never gets it, he's never got it.

im a attention sucker and i miss the days he used to shower his atmost attention over me. i really dig the honeymoon period. even though i know he's working his ass off for me right now, risking his life hanging only by a thread each time he climb the ship and tanks. it doesnt really helps especially when he goes drinking after that instead of spending that miserable little time with me.

he's the absolute lousiest listener, ever. each time i tell him a problem, either i get a scolding or a killer stare. so, i stop talking to him entirely, not even gossips. it is terrible when someone expects you to be a great listener all the time, but you cant even talk to him for a mere second. either i chose the wrong timing or i say the wrong things.

after this, i guess he might be preparing the seperation papers. men, being man, cant tolerate their women complaining about them. they'll start with the "providing" and "have i not bought you that" chant.

shitty emo streak. hubby went for this blood test weeks back and got to know that he somehow hasnt treat his liver well. e enzymes in the liver is 6 times that of a normal person. it is said to be cause by alcohol binging. enzymes in the liver is to clean and detoxify the liver. doesnt that mean that he has got a clean liver? my logic. anyhow, it isnt good. it may lead to bad, bad conditions.

as i read his blog, all he thinks about is the cars and women. i wonder where i stand some times, well at least he did mention the baby. i was only mentioned to be saying the bad stuff. i seem to be e bad blood of his life.

it the concert on the first week of december for elfa. its joyus, all the children are happy, but the teachers are rushing. each afraid that her item isnt ready or the best. its amazng how little children as young as 3 years old are able to stand on the stage, giving their best and perform. each year, the graduation will end with laughter, smiles and tears.

im really into planting lately - i've sprouted some chilli padis and 2 sunflowers. that sounds crazy, but the girls at school actually analysed that its due to my lil baby that i began to 'mother' other living stuffs. its kinda satifying to see seeds growing.

atwell had gone up to KL over the weekend with the boys, and i went over to ive's place for a movie marathon night. it was more like a babble marathon night. kim walked behind me and i didnt even noticed him. xian grew fatter and she looked so pretty. we joked about baba's brows and huiling's headache. it was all the more special cuz almost everyone was there and we celebrated ling's birthday. she was so touched she almost teared. girls. heh

sometimes i really feel like im not good enough for him.
i know that i havent been really taking care of myself, ie dressing up and such. so i began to make up, then he'd ask why i dont wear contact lenses. when i had long hair, he asked why shan't i cut them short, now that they're short, he says maybe its better i have long hair. argh! irritating man!

my first encouter with the escargots was scalding hot.

hubby brough us to this lovely restaurant down town and we had a feasting. i did squirm and had some hesitation before mouthing the 'snails'. when e first literally melted in my mouth, it was non stop action after that. e husband is alway better at ordering food than i do, im a lil more conserved about what i put in my mouth. then we had the little cakes and desserts, really really satisfying. cafe 2000 at mhotel is a must try.

the husband contacted my cousin in secret and got her to bring back a burberry blue label from japan. he certainly me caught me by surprise and its absolutely gorgeous.

so, inorder to compliment for the past year, i got him this.

i got him this pen against his wishes of me buying something expensive. i really wanted to get him a very nice watch, but there was a budget constraint, so i went around looking for a gold pen for him. yup he loves gold. however, despite me getting him the pen, his heart hurt so much for the money i spent that i almost thought that i runined the night.

however, this night also made me realised what was the most importatnt to me.
